Professional experience
Monica joined Grant Thornton in 2025 as Partner.
Previously she worked in major accounting firms as Associate Partner gaining considerable experience Banking and Finance sector working for important banking and financial service companies, also listed on the stock exchange.
The areas in which he has mostly carried out his activity and specialized are:
- Statutory audit of financial statements and consolidated financial statements and accounting assistance for leading companies in the Banking and Financial Sector.
- Study and evaluation of the internal control system and support activities for Internal Audit.
- Business Consulting projects (establishment of SGRs, SICAFs, Single Roll, Securitizations - pool Audit and specific reporting).
- Extraordinary transactions and M&A (due diligence, mergers, sale of business units) and preparation of specific reporting - Information Memorandum, Teaser, Business Plan - to be submitted to company management and/or institutional investors.
- Drafting of procedural manuals (operational and accounting) following corporate reorganization projects.
- Audit of reporting packages and/or on specific financial statement items (Agreed Upon Procedures).
- Conversion to IAS/IFRS international accounting standards.
Education
Monica graduated in Economics and Commerce from the Catholic University of Milan.
Professional qualifications and memberships
Monica is enrolled in the Register of Statutory Auditors and in the Register of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of Milan.

She was a Member of the Corporate Reporting Forum of ASSIREVI - a body in charge of drafting technical documents with reference to extra-financial issues, ESG, Sustainability, Integrated Reporting, DNF, and participated in ASSIREVI's working tables contributing to the preparation of research papers for the drafting of auditing standards specific to the banking and financial sector.
