Professional Experience
Marco joined Grant Thornton in 2012 as Partner. He is currently the Vice-president of Ria Grant Thornton.
He has 29 years of professional experience in auditing and accounting organization. He is responsible for audit engagements of statutory and consolidated financial statements prepared under Italian GAAP and IFRS and US GAAP of Italian companies and Italian subsidiaries of multinational groups.
Marco has gained significant experience as an auditor of sustainability reporting, including in listed companies, an activity in which he holds a leadership role within Ria Grant Thornton. He has gained in-depth knowledge and experience in the use of business management systems and financial analysis.
He has also developed the application of economic-financial models in public-private partnership projects. He has gained significant experience in company valuations, supporting merger & acquisition transactions.
An expert in risk management, Marco has directed important processes for the drafting of organizational models under Legislative Decree 231/2001.

Education
Marco graduated in Economics and Business Administration at Bologna University.
He gained a postgraduate specialization in “Financial Statement Analysis and Auditing,” at the Emilia-Romagna Region.
Professional qualifications and memberships
Marco is enrolled in the Register of Statutory Auditors, and he is a member of the Assirevi Financial Services and Cooperative Companies Commission.
Marco is also a member of the cooperative companies working group of the Organismo Italiano di Contabilità.
